KAHOOT

Hello friends ! I hope you are all doing fine in your homes.Today the app I want to show you is one of my favorite ones.It is KAHOOT ! We constantly use it in our Lingulstics lesson.It is a quiz app that makes students feel like playing only a game. Firstly let me show you the home page of my Kahoot.

The very first step of you should be signing in the kahoot.It asks you do you want to enroll as student, tracher , socially or for working.I chose to sign in as a teacher.After that you will come across with this page asking you what are you looking for.To play a game or to create:)

In this page you can search for already prepared kahoot games, you can create yours, yiu can participate in a game that you have the code and you can see your own kahoot projects.I prepared one for you.It is a very basic simple past tense game that can be used in pre-lesson stage.

First of all, you write your questions and tyoe the answers for this questions.You can add as many questions as you want.

Then make the correct answer button on in the true answer of your questions.When students click on it they will see whether their answer is true or not.

You can choose the type of of your question.Is it a quiz type or true false one.I prefered to combine bith of them in mine.

After finishing typing your questions, your kahoot game is seen like that.You should become online to play this game because is an interactional one to which many participants can connect at the same time.

When you open your kahoot account to start the game in the class, you will see a code.This is code of your game.Your students will type this code and so the whole class will be able participate in your kahoot game.Actually I think it is a very enjoyable and useful app that makes the learning more permanent and enjoyable.Students write their nicknames and see their scores in the game.In the end the first three students' names are shown on the screen.Imagine! You are examining your students but they do it in a very deligted way.What a nice thing, isn't it ? Thank you Kahoot:)

  Hello dear engwithtechno readers ! I am back with an amazing app today.I am going to introduce the storybird app.It is an interactive storytelling app which can be used language learning in a very enjoyable way.Lets have a look at the preparation of a storybird.
  Firstly you should have an account in storybird.You will given a cover page that will be your cover of the book.You can choose a picture, a title and writer's name on this cover.

Then you will given a blank page on which you can write your story.In one part you write your text in the other side of the page you put a picture representing your text.I actually wrote a story but in this story my real aim is that teaching the seasons and the months belonging to each season, some information abut the the season.For example, what we wear, do, eat etc...

You can add pages as many as you want.After finishing your story you can publish it in storybird as publisly or privately.I chose the former one:) The experts will control it and they will make comments on your project.

  Then if you look at your profile you can see your published works and can get information about it saying how many views, comments, likes you get.

  You can also share your story's summary and give some information about the kind of the story you wrote.I can say that it made me feel excited because I have a published book now.Can you imagine how happy and proud will be the students when they achieve it ? In terms of motivation and taking attention to the lesson this is an amazing tool.Surely you want to try it.Then do not lose time to go on with yoir own stories via STORYBIRD:)

Seesaw

Hello all ! I am fine to came back to see you.I am again here with a great thing for you.Today we will cover about SEESAW.You will remember from my previous posts I introduce the edmodo app which is like an online classroom.Here is the another for you.I started using the seesaw again thanks to my material design lesson.Firstly you should have an account.It will ask you whether you are a teacher, student or a family member.I chose the teacher:)
After I completed my choice and enrolled in I came across with a page asking for my class' name and the grade for it.I chose the 4th grade and call my class as WINNERS.     
         

  It has great functions including" post student work" "assign activity" and "send announcements".It has almost the same things we are subjected to in the class.What a great comfort for teachers and students isn't it?

  For example I sent an announcement to my class.The things I could not cover during the lesson can easily be instructed to my students thanks to the seesaw.I want them to practice the text I gave today:) I hope I will make it really one day:)

  Then I wanted to create an assignment for them.For preparing an activity firstly I click on the button saying assign activity.As you see above you can either benefit from the ready made ones or you can also create activities for your students.I chose the latter:)

 I wrote the instructions for my assignment.I made it clear so that each of my students can understand it easily but it would be a weak one if I only wrote the instructions and did not add any images.Right:)

To make it much more attractive I added a picture about the activity.It will ease my students' work in a great way.After attaching the picture I completed my activity and sent it to the class.I am able to determine a schedule for the activity as well.

  Finally it looks like as the picture above.I am very delighted with managing my class as online.They can reach to me whenever they want and the same is valid for me as well.I can say that it makes our education life much easier than the traditional ways:)

Actually, I have learned about this app in my Instructional Technologies and Material Design lesson.Padlet is an online post-it board.You can use it for putting some reminders, briefmf knowldege about a topic.It can be thought as a brainstorming tool.The onky difference with thd virtual one is this is online:))
   First have an account.Then start to write your brief exolanations.You can  choose the background on yourself.It surely will make the remembering easier.
  I also can edit a padlet for my students after the lesson to make their learning much more permanent.What a great platform:))I should also say that it was so easy to use.Then why don't you try producing a padlet on yourself ? EDMODO APP REVIEW

Hello all ! Today I came back with a very useful app which I have used since I attended to the university.The moment we get into the class our teachers mentioned about this app.They gave us a code for attending a class.At first, I couldnt grasp what I will make with these codes.Then I downloaded the app saying "I will handle dont worry":)
  Upon downloading it, I came across with a page saying "enter your code" After entering your code, you will be added the list of this lesson and you will be able to reach to the sharings of the instructor.

If you have a couple of lesson, you can add more than one lesson in edmodo platform.Each of them will be like a document.They are separated so you wont have a confusion.Dont worry:)

Your assignments given by the instructor will be seen in your assignment box.When you finish them, you also will see your completed works of you do not do the assignment you will have a reminder that says "You have an assignment in that date".What a nice application isn't it ??

After finishing your assignments, it would be great to have an enjiyable time.The app also supply us with great platforms in it.You can have fun with these apps actually:) So do not think that edmodo is only for lesson and it is boring.That is not the case.Yes the main purpose of it is lessons but the app makes it very easy that you can not stop yourself using it:))))

I couldnt say it above, your sharings from the instructor including the lesson's material is also can be upload here.

You can be aware of what is going on in your class even if you could not have chance to get the class thanks to this app.So I must say that it makes my education life easier.I thank my teachers making me aware of this app and using this app in their lessons.
    I also want to use it if the things do not change in my own classes:) but I am sure that my teachers will introduce me with different apps, then I will think about my decision again:))

Voki & Flipgrid

  Hello all! What are you doing in these days apart from sitting at home:) Actually I am ver bored to be at home due to the stuff called Covid19.In order to have a good time I came back with a thing I shared you in my previous post VOKI.This time my video is a kind of much better and you easily can learn yhe Simple Past Tense thanks to it.In my previous post, I did nit mention about the stages of preparation a VOKI video.Now lets have a look at the stages of preparation.

  First of all you should enroll to the voki.It has a free category.I subscribed to it free.Then you are given a random avatar and a random setting but I dont like them.You can change it from the settings.Then it wants a text for using it in your video.I wrote about the Simple past tense very briefly and choose a boice for reading it.You also can use your voice but I chose doing it in that way.It is up to you:) Then your video is created and preapared for sharing it in the website.I copied the url adress and now I am with you.It was easy to prepare but what I dont loke with it that it has a limitation on the words to speak.I think there can be an increase.The rest was easy and enjoyable.You also can do a VOKI video and make your learning much more easy and enjoyable.Here is the link for my new VOKI video.It is better than the former one.I hope you also think so and like it.

Flipgrid is also an app resembling to Voki.With this platform teachers and students can create videos and share them with their class only by entering a code.
         

Here is the home page of the flipgrid.I signed in with my e-mail then I started to create my flipgrids.

I chose a picture for the cover of my flipgrid.Then to be able share it with my students, I was given a code like that:
   

After sharing a code with my students, they will be able to see the flipgrids I prepared for them.They also can share tge videos they prepare with other friends.They will hear their own voices and see the speaking abilities and so they will be more motivated:)
Here I created a flipgrid by using VOKI platform and I uploaded it to the link that was sent by my instructor.
     

Then it is time to motivate our students with flipgrid today:)

Teaching with an animated character "VOKI"

  Hi guys ! I said you that I am so bored with that quarantine stuff.I am trying to do things lettting me relax.As you know in my previous post I made an animation for you.In this post I again have uploaded a thing looking like an animation; but this time it is different from the previous one.In the previous one I recorded my voice with the combination of a setting and characters.This time I used an avatar and I chose a voice for her.It is like a vidcast actually.The only difference is the usage of the avatar lets say.She shortly tells about the Simple Present Tense:)
It was an easy one for me to prepare.I used the VOKI platform for doing it.Voki is an app that can be used for teaching in a very enjoying way.It includes various avatars from history to mythology.This time I used a normal person as my avatar for telling the subject which I tried to tell you in my previous post.I subscribed to it free but with basic one:) You can also try it.It was an amazing activity for me.I believe you can also do a good one.I must say that itbis a demo for me I will make a better one in next days.Do not worry i will share it too with you:)

MY ANIMATION

Hi friends! What a beautiful day isn't it ? If it is not for you I want to suggest something that will contribute to make your day much better! I tried to prepare an animation for you.Why should teachers use these kind of things in their class ? Surely the things I share with you make our lessons much more enjoyable, understandable and efficient.We do not want to be the kind of teachers that can be called classical or typical.For better learning; various platforms, apps, activities will help us and surely ANIMATION is one of them.I as a prospective English teacher started to benefit from these platforms for the future.You know that language learning necessitates much more self devotion and so we are to use these platforms surely.Supposing that we understand the importance of these apps and activities I want to share my own experience with the animation preparation.
 Firstly, you should have an app or software for preparing this.I preferred using the TOONTASTIC app for making mine.You can say I dont know how to use it but I must say that it is not so difficult.Actually the app itself directs you.At the first stage you should choose a setting for your animation.Then the characters you will use should be chosen.After completing your choices, you can start to prepare it.In terms of my subject which is "Simple present tense" I chose a setting like a school.Then I added the teacher and my students.I started to record my voice while telling the subject to my students.What is important is that while I am speaking my character also should looks like speaking.Definitely this will make my animation much more realistic.I also added a background music which I liked so much
It was a relaxing one surely.Then I exported it and shared it with you:)
 It was my first trial and I must say that it made me so excited and cheerful:) I tried to tell the usage of the Simple present tense with some examples.I hope you like it:) If you like it, let me know guys:) Maybe you can try to make one, as well:))

UDEMY course completion

Hello friends! How are you in these days ? I must say that I am bored with that quarantine stuff.What am I doing to enjoy myself :) I completed a new online course from the udemy platform.Actually I started to take this course much before but because of the other courses I couldnt achieve to complete it.Now I accomplished a new course and want to give information and feedback about my experience.

The name of the course I completed is Discover your energy body.It is about the seven chakras we have in our body and their roles in our life.I ama very interested in mystical things so I thougt it would be an amazing course for me and I succesfully completed it.

It includes a quiz about the topics that we covered during the lesson.After having success in it you can take your course completion reward like me:) Do not worry the questions are totally from the things you learn.You wont have difficulty in solving them...

After I finished the quiz, Udemy platform made me an offer saying your next course will be cheaper thanks to the your accomplishment which is a very kind of thing.I liked it so much:)

Then you will encounter with such a page thanking you on completing your course

It says that here is a certificate for you; but if you are enroll without paying money you cannot take a certificate which is prepared for your name but you take a so called certificate.This was the thing I dont like with the Udemy actually.

From here you can understand that your course is finished amd you achieved completing.It says %100 completed.You can check it from the part called as my courses.

I liked it so much.It helped me to have a quality time.The topic was excellent and the speaker was so semphatic and enjoyable.This made me listen it much more carefully.I badly suggest it to you.Lastly I want to share my certificate with you.

I almost forgot to share my quiz result.It also supply you woth a quiz that tells you which chakras of you are closed or wildly open.I really really like it.
